Man charged with murder after person shot dead at Traveller site
Shane Porter, 35, has been charged with murdering 36-year-old Jimmy Ward, who was fatally shot at a Traveller site in Calcutt near Cricklade, Wiltshire, on August 2. Porter also faces a charge of possessing a shotgun without a certificate and has been remanded in custody. Eddie Porter, 74, and Tammy Brown, 42, are charged with assisting an offender and the same firearms offence. Two other men arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender were released on bail. Wiltshire Police said the investigation and increased policing presence at the site would continue.
