Frightening Ex-Partner Who “Can’t Control Himself” Is Jailed
Kian Turner was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court to 18 months in custody after admitting common assault, harassment, sending threatening messages, and breaching a restraining order and suspended sentence. After his former partner ended their relationship, Turner repeatedly threatened her and other men in her life, impersonated police during a call, and confronted her at home. The court heard that he had previously been convicted of battery and intentional strangulation and that his defence cited ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder and impulsivity disorder. Recorder Sarah Przybylska said the victim was afraid of him and what he was capable of.
