Couple face £1k bill for planting flowers on verge next to their home
An elderly couple in Worcestershire have been warned they must remove flowers and shrubs they planted on a communal verge or face a £953 bill from a property management contractor. Despite support from neighbours, the company acting for the developer says covenants prohibit planting without permission. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the company maintains the plants must be moved onto the couple’s own property, while the couple refuse to comply.
