Supermarket Unveils New Work Experience Scheme for 10,000 Young Brits
Sainsbury's has announced its KickStarter work experience programme, which will provide around 10,000 opportunities for people aged 14 to 24 across its stores, offices and depots from next year. The Explore pathway will combine classroom learning with practical experience for 14- to 18-year-olds, while Insights will help 16- to 24-year-olds develop communication, interview and workplace skills. Sainsbury's and Prime Minister Andy Burnham framed the initiative as a response to high youth unemployment and urged more employers to offer similar opportunities.
