Review: Drummond Castle and gardens as visited by Monty Don
Drummond Castle’s formal gardens in Perthshire feature an expansive parterre, classical statues, and a 17th‑century multifaceted sundial, all set beneath the castle’s elevated terrace. Historically restored after periods of decline, the grounds include ornamental trees, a pond, and a productive vegetable garden, with the surrounding landscape enhancing the site. The gardens have attracted film crews, including for Outlander, and were recently visited by Monty Don for his book and series. They are open daily with paid admission.
