AAIB Report: Eurofox 2K, G-CMAX
An AAIB report found that a Eurofox 2K tug aircraft lost control shortly after takeoff during a glider launch at Talgarth Airfield, Powys, on 27 December 2025. The aircraft rolled sharply left in strong crosswind and likely unstable, turbulent air; the glider disconnected and landed safely, while the tug struck the ground in an adjacent field. The sole pilot was seriously injured. The gliding club subsequently improved wind measurement and weather reporting for pilots and began work on its safety culture.
