A wildfire on Tintwistle Moor in Derbyshire has burned an estimated 606 hectares since igniting on 24 June, according to analysis from the European Forest Fire Information System. Fire crews continue managing hotspots and expect to stay on site into early next week, with a section of the A628 remaining closed. A nearby wildfire at Dove Stone Reservoir has damaged about 90 hectares. Authorities urge the public to avoid the area and refrain from lighting barbecues or campfires on moorland, as wildfire incidents across England and Wales have reached 342 so far this year.
