George Michael’s estate sues former friend over unseen footage

Aerospace firm in Wantage placed into voluntary liquidation
Kearsley Airways (Holdings) Limited, a Wantage-based holding company, has entered members’ voluntary liquidation, with London liquidators appointed after a winding-up resolution was published in The Gazette. The company sold Kearsley Airways Limited to The Kearsley Repair Group in August 2025, and the operating aerospace component repair business at Stansted Airport is not involved in the liquidation. Companies House filings show £223,540 in debts due by August 2026 alongside nearly £14 million in net assets reported in March 2026. Managing director Martin Bowman said the operating company is performing well.

Burst water pipe affects Abingdon homes during hosepipe ban
A burst main caused low pressure or no water for homes in Abingdon’s OX14 area during Thames Water’s temporary hosepipe ban. Engineers repaired three bursts within a few hours, and the company said all affected properties had their water supply restored within two and a half hours.

A34 lorry in ditch as crash caused 3 miles of congestion
An overturned lorry caused a partial closure of the A34 between Didcot and Newbury, leading to 40‑minute delays and three miles of congestion. Thames Valley Police attended the crash, which occurred southbound between the A4185 and the M40. Recovery efforts were completed by around 8 p.m., clearing the delays.
