Four women accuse Jared Leto of sexual abuse, threats, statutory rape and sexually explicit communications when they were teenagers, while six other women describe similar inappropriate phone calls or encounters. The BBC says it corroborated several accounts through friends, relatives, photographs and messages, and interviewed former members of Leto's band staff who described discomfort with his interactions with young women. The allegations concern encounters between 2002 and 2016 and form the basis of a BBC documentary; Leto has denied them categorically. The report also notes more than 120 allegations about his conduct published online and a confidentiality agreement allegedly sent to one woman, which she refused to sign.
