Firefighters plea for help as West Midlands fires rage
Wildfires are spreading across Stourbridge and other parts of the West Midlands, including Racecourse Lane, Moreton Road, Iverley Lane, Norton Road, County Lane and Worcester Lane. West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service has warned of extreme demand, urged residents to reduce the risk of outdoor fires, and told anyone affected to reach safety and call 999 rather than tackle the fire themselves. Firefighters and a child were reportedly taken to hospital.
