A new £18m interchange station in Okehampton, Devon, has opened to passengers on the Dartmoor Line between Okehampton and Crediton. Funded by a £13.5m government grant alongside local authority and Network Rail contributions, the hub includes a 200-space car park, bus stop, drop-off area and cycle parking. Supporters say it will improve access to Exeter, education and employment, reduce traffic and encourage sustainable travel. Local campaigners also hope it will support future rail links toward Launceston and Bodmin.
