Great Horton Food Court offers variety of global cuisine
Great Horton Food Court has opened on Great Horton Road in Bradford with seven vendors serving halal dishes from around the world. The venue offers Texas-style barbecue, Japanese sandos, Turkish kebabs, fried chicken, desserts and juices in a shared-seating setting designed to appeal to diverse customers. Head of marketing Ali Heyman emphasized the court's uniqueness, broad appeal and social-media presence, while highlighting Meat Bros, Shokupan, Usta Kebab House and Blazing Birdhaus among the food options.

The Ainsbury micropub in Thackley changes ownership
The Ainsbury micropub in Thackley has changed ownership after John and Nicky Higgins ran it for nearly five years. During their tenure, the pub earned recognition as Outer Bradford Pub of the Year and CAMRA Bradford Branch’s 2022 Pub of the Season, while developing a reputation for unusual rotating real ales. Regular Steve Lee and former staff member Marietjie Lee officially took over on August 3 after being chosen by the Higginses, who expressed confidence that the pub’s distinctive tradition and strong community ties will continue.

Keighley MP condemns unauthorised encampments in Silsden
Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore has condemned a traveller encampment on private land beside Keighley Road in Silsden and is urging Bradford Council and West Yorkshire Police to resolve it. He says existing laws do not adequately protect landowners and communities, proposing criminalising vehicle trespass after an order to leave, closing alternative-stopping-place loopholes, imposing indefinite bans from sites and recovering enforcement costs from offenders.
