Laptops become a university must-have as students ditch paper notes
A poll of 1,200 current and former students and parents found that laptops, chargers, smartphones and other technology have largely replaced books, kettles and alarm clocks as university essentials. Forty-three percent of Gen Z students exclusively use laptops for note-taking, 67% say they could not complete their studies without one, and 55% of parents consider a laptop the most important purchase for a university-bound child. The research, commissioned by Samsung alongside its Galaxy Book6 Pro, highlights students’ use of laptops for studying, administration, communication and entertainment.
