Commonwealth Games: Scotland's 'gutted' Fin Graham settles for silver
Scotland’s Fin Graham won silver in the men’s C1-C3 3km individual pursuit at the Commonwealth Games after England’s Matthew Robertson took gold. Graham, who had already won bronze in the 1000m time trial, was disappointed because he had hoped to hear Scotland’s national anthem on home soil and felt aggrieved that the event was staged as a solo time trial rather than a head-to-head pursuit. The format followed a long-standing UCI policy for races involving riders from different classifications, intended to avoid major mismatches.

Commonwealth Games 2026: Neil Fachie survives painful crash to take another gold after Wales 'poke bear'
Neil Fachie and pilot Aaron Pope won the men’s tandem B sprint at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after recovering from a painful crash in the deciding race against Wales. The victory gave Fachie another gold medal at the venue where his Commonwealth Games career began and followed his earlier win in the tandem B 1,000m. Despite bleeding legs and severe burns, the Scottish pair returned to the track and narrowly defeated James Ball and Matt Rotherham. Fachie described the result as the ideal end to his career and said he does not expect to return to competition.
