Man guilty of murdering sister's boyfriend after pet camera exposes his lies
A jury found Anthony Junior Murray guilty of murdering Joe Burton after pet camera footage revealed he stabbed his sister’s boyfriend during a drunken confrontation at his Bury flat on New Year’s Eve 2025. Murray initially lied to police, claiming to have found Burton injured after returning home, but the recording contradicted his account. Prosecutors argued he acted out of anger, while Murray claimed self‑defence. The jury rejected his explanation, convicting him by an 11–1 majority. He will be sentenced on August 7.
