Girl, 7, and aunt 'murdered' in blaze as police admit attack could be linked to A66 crash
A seven-year-old girl, Valentina Foster, and her 34-year-old aunt, Natalie McDonald, died in a house fire in Grangetown near Middlesbrough. Cleveland Police are treating the incident as a murder investigation and have arrested two men aged 23 and 31. Officers say they are keeping an open mind and cannot rule out links to wider organized crime or the nearby A66 crash, in which seven people, including two police officers, died.
