Can You Legally Keep Fruit That Falls From Your Neighbour’s Garden?
Fruit that falls from a tree remains legally owned by the tree’s owner, even when the tree’s branches extend over a neighbour’s garden, so picking it up and keeping it without permission could potentially constitute theft. Neighbours should agree what to do with fallen fruit rather than throwing it back over the fence, which may be treated as fly-tipping. If unwanted fruit is left to rot and creates vermin or odour problems, residents should document their concerns in writing and may contact their local council’s Environmental Health department, which can issue an Abatement Notice under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

'Set your alarm' as EasyJet July sale date confirmed for 2027 flights
easyJet’s Big Seat Release is scheduled to open on July 28, 2026, offering millions of seats across more than 130 destinations for travel from June 14 to September 26, 2027. MoneySavingExpert founder Martin Lewis says the initial release is the most predictable opportunity to find low fares because easyJet uses dynamic pricing, although prices may rise within hours as demand increases. Travellers are advised to prepare their accounts and payment details, compare rival airlines, and check both the app and website. Spring 2027 flights are already available for travel from March 22 to June 13.
