Redlynch & Hale’s first XI lost by 22 runs at home to league leaders Totton & Eling after failing to keep pace with a target of 232, despite contributions from Ian Tanner and Harvey Boardman. Hythe & Dibden defeated Redlynch & Hale’s first XI by 110 runs after Arslen Yashin scored 111 and Alex Nicholas made an unbeaten 81 in a total of 290. Redlynch & Hale struggled in reply, reaching 111 for nine, although Nick Illman and George Hayes added a late 69-run partnership. The defeat leaves Redlynch & Hale second in Division 3A and increases the pressure on its promotion bid. The club’s second XI beat Calmore 3rds by 74 runs, while its third XI lost to Michelmersh & Timsbury despite Peter Biddlecombe’s strong batting.
