Huddersfield sports complex reaching 'another level' as it's renamed 'in honour of dad'
The Storthes Hall sports complex in Huddersfield has been renamed the Graham Leslie Arena in recognition of entrepreneur and philanthropist Graham Leslie. Operated by the Leslie Sports Foundation under a 99-year lease from the University of Huddersfield, the site serves more than 40 teams, including Huddersfield Town Women, Shelley Community FC and Huddersfield Dragons Hockey Club. Plans include expanding the clubhouse and installing a 3G artificial pitch, while 240 planned homes nearby could bring around 1,000 new residents within walking distance. The development is intended to strengthen the arena’s role as a community sports hub.
