A person suffering from suspected heat exhaustion at Durdle Door was rescued by coastguard teams and airlifted due to high temperatures and difficult terrain. Multiple rescue units, including Wyke, Lulworth and Kimmeridge Coastguard teams and the South Western Ambulance Service, responded after initial reports of a cardiac arrest. Paramedics confirmed heat exhaustion, leading to a helicopter extraction. Additional 999 calls prompted a search of nearby Man O' War Beach, where no further casualties were found. The incident was one of several recent callouts for the Wyke Regis team.

Lucy Shuker was eliminated from the Wimbledon wheelchair doubles semi-final alongside partner Kgothatso Montjane after losing to top seeds Yui Kamiji and Zhenzhen Zhu. Kamiji and Zhu advance to face Xiaohui Li and Ziying Wang in the final. Shuker, a five-time Wimbledon finalist, also exited the singles competition earlier in the week and is recognised for her extensive career that includes multiple Paralympic successes and serving as Team GB’s flagbearer in Paris in 2024.
