Van Rysel RCR-G Review: A Race-Ready Gravel Bike That Flourishes at Speed and on Smooth Gravel
The Van Rysel RCR-G is a lightweight, aerodynamic gravel race bike built for high-speed events and smooth gravel. Its aggressive road-bike-like geometry, stiff frame, capable SRAM Red XPLR drivetrain and strong value make it particularly effective on fast terrain and climbs. However, the narrow road-derived wheels, limited 50mm tyre clearance, basic saddle and relatively stiff ride reduce its suitability for rough, rocky or muddy routes and adventure riding. At £6,500, it is judged to offer exceptional specification and value, despite needing more gravel-specific wheels and greater compliance.
