Sono Angelo Samarawickrema, fotogiornalista/giornalista investigativo con base a Colombo, Sri Lanka. Il mio call sign nel settore è "TheClickmeister or TheOne&OnlyClickmeister." Avendo oltre 25 anni di esperienza sul campo, ho coperto le zone di disastro di Colombo e dell'intero Sri Lanka sia durante che dopo la guerra civile, conclusasi nel 2009. Avendo vissuto nel Regno Unito per un periodo di quasi dieci anni, ho coperto molte proteste e altri eventi, dai festival musicali alla fotografia di strada, che è una passione: scoprire le persone e l'espressione delle culture. Ma, al mio ritorno sull'isola dello Sri Lanka nel 2005, sono riuscito a lavorare con organizzazioni umanitarie documentando molte delle lotte sia delle condizioni di vita sia della continua lotta politica nell'isola fino ai giorni nostri, essendo stato coinvolto nella documentazione di oltre un mese e mezzo di proteste e di molti scontri tra la popolazione e le forze armate. Angelo è attualmente basato a Colombo ed è disponibile per incarichi sull'isola e all'estero, avendo un passaporto attivo. La sua esperienza copre sia il lavoro dietro la macchina fotografica sia il reportage in prima persona in loco durante fasi critiche. Parlo fluentemente due lingue e leggo e scrivo sia l'inglese che il singalese e sono in grado di adattarmi a qualsiasi ambiente. Sono un team player e so lavorare in team. Ho coperto eventi sia nel settore corporate che privato, documentari di strada oltre a crisi politiche, veglie e proteste, cinema e teatro e molto altro, e sono disponibile per altri incarichi online dato che ho coperto alcuni progetti per the Guardian a Londra e anche AlJazeera.
