Ben Angelo Samarawickrema, Kolombo, Sri Lanka merkezli bir foto muhabiriyim/soruşturmacı gazeteciyim. Sektördeki çağrı işaretim "TheClickmeister or TheOne&OnlyClickmeister." Sahada 25 yılı aşkın deneyime sahibim; 2009'da sona eren İç Savaş sırasında ve sonrasında Kolombo ile Sri Lanka genelindeki afet bölgelerini kapsayan çalışmalar yaptım. Yaklaşık on yıl kadar Birleşik Krallık'ta yaşadım; birçok protestoyu ve müzik festivallerinden sokak fotoğrafçılığına kadar çeşitli etkinlikleri haberledim; sokak fotoğrafçılığı, insanları keşfetme ve kültürlerin ifadesi olarak bir tutkudur. Ancak 2005'te Sri Lanka'ya döndüğümde, insani yardım kuruluşları aracılığıyla adadaki yaşam koşullarıyla ilgili pek çok mücadeleyi ve günümüze kadar süren siyasi mücadeleyi belgeleyerek çalışmayı başardım; ayrıca bir buçuk aylık protestoları ve halk ile tri forces arasındaki birçok çatışmayı belgelendirmede yer aldım. Angelo şu anda Kolombo'da bulunuyor ve geçerli bir pasaporta sahip olduğu için ada içinde ve yurtdışında görevler için müsait. Onun deneyimi hem kamera arkasında hem de kritik aşamalarda sahada kamera önünde haber yapmayı kapsıyor. İki dili akıcı olarak konuşuyorum; hem English hem de Singhalese okuyup yazabiliyorum ve her ortama uyum sağlayabilirim. Bir ekip oyuncusuyum ve ekip içinde de çalışabilirim. Kurum ve özel sektördeki etkinlikleri, sokak belgeselciliğini, siyasi krizleri, nöbetleri ve protestoları, Film & Theatre ve çok daha fazlasını kapsayan çalışmaları haberledim ve diğer çevrimiçi görevler için de müsaitim; Londra'da the Guardian için ve ayrıca AlJazeera için birkaç proje yaptım.
