Sam Fender and Olivia Dean make UK chart history with Rein Me In
Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s duet Rein Me In has become the longest-running number one single by a British act, spending 16 weeks at the top of the UK charts and surpassing Wet Wet Wet’s previous record. The remix, released in June last year, marks Fender’s first chart-topper and Dean’s second, and has also set records for the longest consecutive run in the UK top 40 and the most weeks in the top 10 for a non‑Christmas single. The pair now approach the all‑time record of 18 weeks held by Frankie Laine’s I Believe.
