Southend Coastal Surgeries is planning a free CPR training session in October at its North Shoebury surgery after training more than 100 people during a health and wellbeing event. The session will cover bystander CPR, use of public-access defibrillators and responses to choking emergencies, as part of Resuscitation Council UK’s Restart a Heart campaign. Organizers aim to improve confidence and address inequalities in access to CPR, including women being less likely to receive bystander CPR. Further details and additional sessions will be announced on the surgery’s website.
