Gig review: Jimmy Eat World at The Piece Hall, Halifax
Jimmy Eat World delivered a sold-out, high-energy performance at Halifax’s Grade I-listed Piece Hall, performing the 2001 album Bleed American in full. Support from The Get Up Kids and Rise Against established an energetic alt-rock and melodic-hardcore atmosphere, while Jim Adkins’ vocals and the band’s enduring hooks received particular praise. An extended set featuring songs such as “Pain” demonstrated that Jimmy Eat World remain a powerful live act rather than merely a nostalgia-driven legacy band.
