Prezzo Italian in Brighton Marina reopened on July 9 after a renovation carried out during a temporary closure from June 29. The redesign includes blue-and-white striped seating, Italian-themed artwork, a refreshed menu and the restaurant’s rebranding from Prezzo to Prezzo Italian—Home of Italian Classics. The Brighton location is the company’s 29th UK renovation, with further upgrades planned. Customers can receive 30% off food through a voucher until September 4.

A group of diners allegedly left Bentley’s Steakhouse in Bexhill without paying a bill exceeding £150. The restaurant said the incident was captured on CCTV and warned that it would report the group to police unless they returned to settle the bill. A Facebook appeal by the restaurant was widely shared and prompted public criticism of the diners, as well as suggestions that restaurants use deposits or advance payment to prevent similar incidents.
