Brighton: Personae art exhibit to go on show in the city
The Personae exhibition by Sussex-based artists Dan and Serg will run at Atelier Beside the Sea in Brighton from September 11 to 24. Combining paintings, portrait photography and street photography, the show explores identity, transformation, vulnerability and the roles people present in everyday life. Featured works include a portrait of Rob Makin from Handcuffed, nude photographic studies, images of Brighton’s LGBTQ+ community and photographs taken during Brighton Pride. Makin and fellow cast member Charlie Gray will attend the private view alongside the artists.

Hove's Fatboy Slim Headlines Festival Hosting 30,000 People
Camp Bestival welcomed 30,000 people to Lulworth Castle in Dorset for a four-day programme of music, family entertainment, arts, sports and wellbeing activities. Brighton and Hove DJ Fatboy Slim headlined the final day with a set praised for its energy and positive message, while Bastille, Self Esteem, Billy Ocean, De La Soul and other performers also appeared. Curators Rob and Josie da Bank said the festival’s multigenerational atmosphere was a major success and announced that it will return from July 29 to August 1, 2027, with early-bird tickets going on sale shortly.

Rathfinny vineyard in Sussex hosts amazing picnics
A walk from Seaford to Rathfinny Wine Estate in Sussex provides access to a summer picnic overlooking the vineyard and South Downs. Available from Thursday to Sunday between July and August, the picnic includes sandwiches, sausage rolls, salad, olives, hummus and crackers, with vegetarian and children’s options. The experience costs £35 per adult and £13 per child, excluding drinks, while Rathfinny wines can be purchased on site. The scenic setting, food and Blanc de Blancs and Cradle Valley wines receive enthusiastic praise.
