Group behind Manchester Airport hacked with 8.7 million customers' data accessed
Manchester Airports Group, which operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports, said an unauthorised third party accessed data relating to about 8.7 million customers. The exposed information included email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations and postcodes linked to parking, lounge, Fast Track and in-airport Wi-Fi services. Bank and payment details were not stored in the affected system, and the incident caused no operational or aviation-security disruption. MAG said it had contained the risk, notified relevant authorities and advised customers to remain alert for fraudulent messages.
