Norwegian Teen Travelled to UK to Carry Out Assassination Plot with Instructions from 'Agent 47'
Norwegian teenager Johannes Kongsnes Natland was convicted at the Old Bailey of conspiring to commit murder after travelling to the UK in March 2025 with two firearms, ammunition and cash. Investigators said he was recruited by the Foxtrot Network, an organized crime group linked to operations on behalf of the Iranian regime, and received travel and operational instructions from an online contact using the alias “Agent 47.” Natland claimed he never intended to carry out the killing, but prosecutors presented messages, photographs, maps and surveillance evidence indicating he understood the mission. He had previously pleaded guilty to possessing the weapons and ammunition. The intended victim was not identified, Natland was arrested before the shooting occurred, and he is due to be sentenced in October.
