Zhob District in Balochistan is facing a severe malnutrition crisis, with families like Muhammad Tahir's suffering from the lack of food aid and healthcare. Tahir's children have been affected by malnutrition, and the local primary health centre lacks the resources to provide nutritional support. Ajmal Khan Mandokhel, Zhob Nutrition Coordinator, notes that while there are five Out-Patient Therapeutic centres in the district, the aid has been reduced, and the number of malnourished individuals is over 18,000. Drought and water scarcity have exacerbated health and nutritional problems in the region. UNICEF has promised to set up additional centres to combat malnutrition.
