Honor’s Robot Phone pairs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a dedicated Honor H1 Imaging Chip because the standard chipset is not sufficient for its cinema-grade video ambitions. Developed with German film-camera maker ARRI, the H1 supports real-time processing, 10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording and ARRI Wide Gamut 3 across the phone’s gimbal-equipped 200MP camera system. The result is professional-quality footage in a smartphone-sized device, comparable in some respects to a DJI Osmo Pocket, although prolonged filming causes heat and the phone is less durable than rival flagships. ARRI and Honor believe the device’s capabilities may lead to use cases that have not yet been fully identified.

EA Sports FC 27 introduces The Grounds, an open-world social football hub that expands the Clubs mode with three themed districts, online stadium and street matches, party-style Kickabouts, challenges, NPC mentors and player progression. The concept closely resembles NBA 2K’s The City but could give FC a welcome post-FIFA identity and bring new attention to an underdeveloped mode. Its long-term success will depend on whether the districts, minigames, challenges and virtual clothing economy can retain players beyond launch, alongside established modes such as Ultimate Team and Career.
