Phil Collins' son Mathew, 21, signs for former Bundesliga champions after successful trial
Mathew Collins, the 21-year-old son of musician Phil Collins, has signed a one-year contract with German club TSV 1860 Munich after impressing during a trial. The former Bundesliga champions now compete in Germany’s fourth-tier Regionalliga after relegation from the 3. Liga. Collins, who developed through youth football in Germany and Austria and most recently played for Austria Salzburg, aims to establish himself independently of his famous family. He had already joined the squad before 1860 Munich opened its season with a 2–2 draw against FC Schweinfurt.
