From the protests in Venezuela, Chile, and Hong Kong to the unfolding challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Bahareh has witnessed and documented most of the significant events of the past few years. She is skilled in producing and interviewing both off and on camera as well as scripting and video editing. Bahareh’s unique strength lies in her ability to access and connect with diverse individuals and communities, especially the vulnerable, allowing her to tell tangible stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. For three impactful years, Bahareh lived in Haiti, working as a photojournalist amidst political turmoil, violence, and natural disasters. Her compelling photography has been featured in distinguished publications including The Guardian, The Washington Post, The New York Times, BuzzFeed, and NPR, reflecting her dedication to sharing powerful narratives that resonate globally. Bahareh is currently working as a freelance multimedia journalist and producer, collaborating with Reuters, the BBC, and other TV production organisations. Born in Iran, Bahareh is fluent in Farsi and English and holds both Canadian and British passports.
