Carrow Road River Bridge in Norwich to Shut for Works

Pedestrians ploughed into by hit-and-run driver in Norwich
Three pedestrians were injured when a BMW struck them on Rose Lane in Norwich at about 4:25 a.m. on Sunday and the driver fled. A man suffered a fractured leg and two women sustained cuts. Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and drug driving, and a 25-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender; both were later released on bail. Norfolk Police referred the matter to its Professional Standards Department and the Independent Office for Police Conduct because of previous contact with both parties, while the investigation continues.

Norwich City players build rafts during team exercise
Norwich City players took part in a team-building exercise at the Lensbury Resort in southwest London, constructing makeshift rafts from barrels and wooden beams. Many of the rafts failed, sending players into the Thames, while Paris Maghoma appeared wary of boarding one and Harry Darling was photographed in the water. Andy King, a 60-year-old father from Long Stratton, spent nearly £17,000 buying and transforming a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 6.2 V8 SS into a replica of Disney Pixar’s Lightning McQueen. Heat health warning issued for Norfolk as temperature rises

Game falls into administration owing more than £10m
The former video game retailer Game, once operating hundreds of UK stores including several in Norwich, entered administration with debts of £15.8 million. Administrators from KR8 Advisory reported that £12 million is expected to be lost by unsecured creditors.
