A three-year-old boy died after falling into a pond at a property on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby. Emergency services took him to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say the death is not believed to be suspicious and are supporting the family while investigating the circumstances.

Two teenage boys were taken to hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries after a stabbing during a large brawl involving groups of youths at Heswall Bus Station in Merseyside. Police arrested several teenagers believed to be aged 15 to 17 and continue investigations through witness interviews, CCTV review and forensic work. A witness reported rival groups from Neston and Liverpool clashing before dispersing. Detective Inspector Steve Wilkinson urged the public to share information and warned about the dangers of carrying or associating with those carrying bladed weapons.
