Abernethy Butter, a top gourmet food producer in Northern Ireland, has expressed concerns that the price of a pound of butter could reach £6 during the festive period. A 500g block of butter was taken into Belfast city centre to gauge shoppers' awareness of the current high prices. Reactions ranged from disbelief to resignation, with one shopper commenting on the unprecedented cost and another joking about needing a payment plan to afford it.
