Scottish woman found dead in suitcase reportedly planned to meet mystery Americans before her death
Elisabeth-Jane Ross, a 38-year-old Scottish woman, was found inside a suitcase in a derelict building in Athens on July 18. Friends reportedly said she planned to stay with unidentified American acquaintances in the Kypseli neighbourhood. Investigators are examining whether messages were sent from her phone after her death to make it appear she was alive. Greek authorities found no obvious injuries or signs of a struggle, and a post-mortem examination is expected to determine the cause of death. Ross had travelled to Greece from Cyprus and was identified through fingerprint comparisons with Interpol and US databases.
