GWM powers ahead with fine pickup
The GWM Poer300 is reviewed as a competitively priced pickup starting at £31,495 excluding VAT. Its strengths include a refined and comfortable ride when laden, strong towing and payload capacities, respectable real-world fuel economy, generous equipment and a five-year, 125,000-mile warranty. However, turbo lag, numb steering and pronounced body roll limit its driving appeal, while emissions of 221g/km place it in the highest Benefit-in-Kind tax bracket for double-cab pickups, potentially deterring lifestyle buyers.

Crosstrek – a stylish yet rugged All Wheel Drive option
Subaru’s Crosstrek is reviewed as a capable, well‑equipped crossover retaining the brand’s traditional Boxer engine and all‑wheel‑drive strengths despite a market shift toward EVs. The Touring model is highlighted for its rugged styling, advanced infotainment features, hybrid powertrain, and solid off‑road ability. Fuel economy and acceleration are noted as weaker points, but strong practicality, safety technology, and overall reliability support its appeal as a versatile alternative in the segment.

Twins who have never had a haircut donate knee-length hair for charity
Twin sisters Willow and Isla, aged seven, plan to cut their knee‑length hair for the first time to donate it to The Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs to children experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment.
