Wickham Festival will run from July 30 to August 2 with around 50 musical acts, sunny weather expected, and new facilities including upgraded toilets. The Saw Doctors will headline Saturday evening, while Ferocious Dog will perform its final show before retiring. Guest speakers, interviews, free family attractions, silent discos and roaming entertainers will also feature.

Eleven-year-old Joshua Pike from Fair Oak raised £1,600 by auctioning his wildlife photographs at The Dog and Crook in Brambridge, donating £400 to the RSPB. One photograph sold for £300, far exceeding expectations, and his work has also been showcased by wildlife presenter Hamza Yassin. Joshua plans to continue photographing nature and will auction another image at the Southern Nature Art Exhibition in Wickham.

Sasha Goldsmith, a Winchester creator, is taking her musical puppet show Seasons on a UK tour to explore community, grief and miscarriage for audiences of all ages. The tour begins at Weeke Community Centre in Winchester, where children aged seven to 11 can also attend workshops in singing, puppetry and sign language, before continuing to venues including the Lake District and Edinburgh.
