150 'potentially lethal' baby products found online in UK
A consumer watchdog investigation identified 150 unsafe baby products being sold on major online marketplaces, including self‑feeding devices, sleep pillows and sleeping bags that posed choking or suffocation risks. Listings appeared across Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba, Etsy, TikTok Shop, OnBuy and Wish, with most platforms removing the flagged products after notification. Which? criticised the marketplaces for failing to prevent hazardous items from reaching consumers, urging stronger enforcement to ensure product safety.
