Super Furry Animals returned to the stage in York after a decade-long hiatus, delivering a dynamic headline performance filled with visual flourishes and fan favorites. A hot summer evening show at York Museum Gardens featured sets by China Crisis, Heaven 17 and headliners OMD, supported by improved festival facilities introduced by Futuresound and York Museums Trust. China Crisis delivered a concise run of melodic hits, while Heaven 17 mixed storytelling with reworked classics, updated with political references. OMD closed with a visually rich, hit-filled performance culminating in Enola Gay and Electricity, completing a well‑received opening night of the Summer of Hot series.
