Only 12% of Brits Follow a Dentist-Recommended Teeth-Cleaning Routine
A poll of 2,000 UK adults found that only 12% consistently follow recommended dental-care practices, despite 80% believing they brush correctly. Many brush for less than two minutes, fail to floss daily, use non-fluoride toothpaste or are uncertain about the products they use. The findings also highlight poor access to dental care, untreated tooth decay and severe gum disease, while younger adults show interest in improving their habits with better advice. Oral-B is launching its Brush for Better dental-bus campaign across the UK, with the vehicle ultimately being donated to Dentaid to support free care and oral-health education in underserved communities.

Parents overlook hidden dangers of coin batteries: 5 tips to keep your child safe
A survey of 1,000 parents of young children found that many recognize household hazards only after exposure, while fewer than half identify coin batteries in toys and everyday devices as risks. The article promotes Energizer’s child-safety batteries and its Summer Safety Swap campaign, featuring Rachel Riley, and provides five precautions: identify devices containing coin batteries, secure battery compartments, store loose batteries safely, recycle used batteries promptly, and seek immediate A&E care if ingestion is suspected without trying to remove the battery or relying on online advice.
