Terrifying warning issued as Putin 'plots false flag attacks in Europe' using Ukrainian weapons
Officials in Lithuania, Poland and the Baltic states have warned that Russia could stage false flag attacks in Europe using Ukrainian drones or weapons to undermine NATO support for Kyiv. Lithuania’s defence minister Robertas Kaunas said such an operation would be intended to make NATO allies waver, while President Gitanas Nauseda previously accused the Kremlin of targeting critical infrastructure; Russia dismissed the warnings as scare stories. The report links the concerns to a security incident at Leipzig Airport, where authorities found a drone carrying a suspected detonator and unidentified substance near a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft. German authorities conducted a controlled detonation, diverted flights and opened a state security investigation, with Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt describing the incident as a professional hybrid threat and saying foreign powers could be involved.
