A police-led incident caused the M60 clockwise carriageway to close between junctions 5, Manchester, and 6, Stretford, during rush hour. Delays reached around 30 minutes, with congestion extending toward Stockport and affecting nearby routes. Traffic was released before 6pm, and the motorway and surrounding roads subsequently cleared.

Personal Independence Payment claimants planning to stay abroad for more than four weeks are urged to contact the Department for Work and Pensions with their departure date, destination, duration and reason for travel. Failure to report changes or other relevant circumstances could affect entitlement, including potential suspension of payments. Claimants must also notify the DWP about changes in care needs, hospital or residential care, imprisonment, immigration status, and certain overseas benefits received by themselves or close family members.
