A former detective is seeking more than £343,000 in damages from North Wales Police, alleging the force mishandled his grievance after discovering his fiancée had affairs with colleagues and claiming this contributed to his development of complex PTSD. He argues the grievance manager appointed to his case was in a relationship with his fiancée at the time, though the court heard there is no evidence supporting this. The force maintains the relationship began years later and that it acted appropriately, while Fearon contends his request for an external force to handle the investigation was ignored. The civil trial continues into next week.
