Retrospective plan for holiday let in Haworth is approved
Bradford Council has approved a retrospective application allowing a section of Ebor House on Lees Lane, Haworth, to continue operating as a holiday let. The annex, converted into a bedroom, en-suite shower room and living area, was completed without prior planning permission and had already been in use. Haworth and Stanbury Parish Council objected because of parking and road-safety concerns, but planning officers concluded that the development was compatible with the existing property, would not significantly affect residential amenity, and raised no material highway, drainage, biodiversity or other planning issues.

Bid for 24 hour manufacturing operations in Silsden refused
Bradford Council has rejected an application by Yorkshire Capital Group Ltd to allow 24‑hour internal manufacturing operations at Habegger House in Silsden. Existing limits restrict activity to daytime hours due to earlier concerns about noise affecting nearby homes. Planners said the new bid lacked sufficient information on noise mitigation, shift patterns and operational controls, raising the risk of significant disturbance to adjacent residential properties. Seven objections and comments from Silsden Town Council highlighted concerns about population growth and potential impacts. Due to inadequate assessment and potential for increased noise, the application was refused.

Plan to build homes on former allotment site is approved
Bradford Council approved an outline application to develop housing on a former allotment site in Keighley, despite objections from residents and the town council. The plan proposes future detailed submissions and may include around 43 homes. Concerns focused on traffic and public transport links, while supporters highlighted the opportunity to improve an untidy site. Planning officers concluded that traffic impacts would be manageable and that highway, drainage and biodiversity matters could be addressed through conditions.

Wilsden Green Belt homes plan approved despite concerns
Bradford Council approved an outline application to redevelop agricultural buildings at Harrop Farm into housing, despite objections from Wilsden Parish Council and concerns from highways officers. The approved plan allows residential use in principle but leaves the number and design of homes to be decided in a later application. Planning officers said the proposed redevelopment could reduce the building footprint and would not harm the openness of the Green Belt if future designs remained smaller than existing structures.

Plan to build housing on Green Belt in Riddlesden refused
A proposal by BL Developments to build five homes on Green Belt land in Riddlesden was rejected due to concerns over highway safety on the substandard Banks Lane and missing ecological, heritage, and tree assessments. Highways officers cited narrow road widths, inadequate pedestrian access, and a nearby blind bend as risks. The Local Planning Authority also said it could not evaluate environmental and heritage impacts without required documentation, leading to refusal of the outline application.
