Plan to create 'best family entertainment centre in the UK' in Yorkshire approved
Bradford Council has approved plans to convert the former Grosvenor Casino unit at The Leisure Exchange from casino use to leisure use, allowing neighbouring inflatable play-centre business Funzy to expand. The 2,330-square-metre development is intended to create what Funzy calls the UK's best family entertainment centre and is expected to reopen in autumn. Planning officers said the project would return a long-vacant unit to active use, support the vitality of Bradford city centre and raise no highway-safety or parking concerns.
Developer ordered to plant 100 new trees and building holiday lets in Yorkshire woodland
A planning inspector has largely upheld Bradford Council’s enforcement notice against unauthorised holiday-let development at Jacob’s Wood in Silsden. AZARA GIDA SAN.VE TIC.LTD.ŞTİ must remove most structures, concrete hard standings, septic tanks, construction materials and some access roads, while planting 100 replacement trees within 20 months. Two structures were found to predate the enforcement period and can remain. The company’s appeal, which argued that the works had been completed by previous owners more than four years earlier, was rejected, and it must pay Bradford Council’s significant appeal costs.
