About Christopher
Christopher German is a journalist based in Klamath Falls, United States of America.

I was a sailor and sailed professionally for more than 20 years after walking away from a career in journalism due to my ADHD. In 2018, after a hurricane killed my boat, I had an identity crisis, and I began my return to the media.

It took a good long while, seven years in truth. However, I was the news director at KAGO News and, a heritage radio station in Klamath Falls, OR. But that didn't quite fit me.

I just relaunched The Charted Life Productions and will be making videos for the community. Subscribe to my Youtube Channel for a look at my work.

In the meantime, I am working to reestablish accountability in Klamath County government, and getting closer each day to becoming a filmmaker.

At Kiva's Corner we aim to include ALL citizens in the the deliberation for better democracy here in Klamath County. This week we sat down with Marine Corp Captain and VFW Commander Ron Johnson to discuss patriotism and the future of Klamath County. At Kiva's Corner we are working toward developing a process where local citizens from Klamath County can come together to discuss and decide on issues that affect the lives and homes of citizens here in Klamath County. The roots of deliberative democracy can be traced back to Aristotle. One purpose of populist deliberative democracy can be to use deliberation among a group of lay citizens to distill a more authentic public opinion about societal issues for other decision-makers to consider.

The KAGO News Minute

We aim to tell the story of how the farmers of the Klamath Basin have gotten a raw deal when it comes to the B.O.R. and the Federal Government. We want to see if the future of farming here can be saved. With innovations like the plan to replumb the Klamath Basin and restart the microclimate that once made this basin the Everglades of the West and other strategies to reverse the desertification of this unique landscape, it is time to tell the story of what is at risk if we continue to make the farmers of the basin the last priority when it comes to water. The Klamath Irrigation District has seeded our project with funding and collaboration, and we are working to raise an additional $10,000 to fund this documentary so that the rest of our Nation can see how the past failed policies have jeopardized our Nation's future. Please donate what you can. All funds will be used to pay a crew, obtain footage and produce the film.
