Friendly football teams from Wolverhampton and Chesterfield will play a charity match at GOALS in Bilston on August 9, with proceeds going to the Royal National Institute of Blind People. Supported by Carers2U, the event follows last year’s £5,000 fundraiser for Cancer Research UK and Parkinson’s UK, and organizers hope for an even larger turnout this year.

Residents of Mitton Lodge in Stourport raised £296 for the children's charity Mentor Link through raffles and a collection tin, with the Churchill Foundation matching part of the funds. Mentor Link representatives visited the care home to thank supporters and explain how the donation will aid its mentoring work across more than 80 Midlands schools, including projects that support children’s confidence, wellbeing and return to education after absence.
